You may be experiencing unpleasant and unwanted thoughts, images, feelings, sensations, urges, and memories. ACT teaches mindfulness skills as an effective way to handle these private experiences.
Cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) addresses the relationship between beliefs, thoughts, and feelings, and the behaviors that follow. Want to change how you feel? We will identify your thoughts that are based on your personal beliefs that may be affecting how you feel. Sometimes difficult feelings may cause you to avoid socializing or may cause you to lash out in anger at those you love.
Some clients benefit from EMDR which is Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing. It is a way of treating past trauma without having to talk about it in detail. Some people experience an immediate reduction in the intensity of their feelings regarding the difficulties they have experienced.
Faith-based counseling integrates traditional therapy with your spiritual belief practices. Any of the above therapy modalities may be enhanced with Faith-based counseling. We will focus together on navigating your spiritual concerns life struggles by incorporating your beliefs and spiritual teachings and practices into your sessions.

We are pleased to be able to accept Medicare and some managed Medicare policies: UHC Medicare, Essence Medicare, and Aetna Medicare. We also accept "regular" UHC and Aetna. Please be aware that you may have a deductible to meet, and If you do not have secondary insurance, you may have a co-pay. Your benefits will be verified and we will inform you of possible out of pocket expenses prior to your first appointment.
Some people prefer not to have their insurance billed or may not be insured. Please inquire about our self-pay rates.
